Last year the Cave Park Grabovača in cooperation with the Association of Biology Students "BIUS", Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, has organized a research-educational camp “Grabovača 2014”. As part of the whole project, it was attended by 126 people, including 88 members of “BIUS”, 21 associates and 15 foreign students. The main objective of the camp was the inventarisation of local flora and fauna around the Cave Park Grabovača and collecting data on biodiversity, as well as review of the qualifying species characteristic for certain types of habitats or areas important for preserving or establishing favourable conditions for threatened and rare habitat types and/or wild species on the European and national level. In cooperation with schools of Lika-Senj County we held workshops and lectures in schools and field teaching for a total of 598 children.

Whole project received a Special rector’s award for exceptional student achievement. The ceremony for the Rector and Special Rector's Award for the academic year 2014/2015 will be held on Thursday, 18th of June, 2015 at 11 am at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb in the Auditorium Maximum (Unska 3, Zagreb).
