Cave Park Grabovača

Unique Cave Park in Europe

With the first days of June, the Public Institution 'Cave Park Grabovača' has been approved for a new European project 'Nature Protection 5 and 6,' funded by the European Solidarity Corps program, the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs, Zagreb. The project will bring together 26 volunteers for 2.5 months who will participate in various activities. The volunteers coming to Perušić are from diverse backgrounds and orientations, all with the same goal: to help and participate in the development of the local community and rural areas.

During July and August, the Institution will organize numerous activities for the local community in cooperation with the volunteers, such as the traditional free Summer School and foreign language school for children and youth (the call will be published soon), the program for children 'The Week Before School,' educational activities and workshops for the local community, Intercultural Evenings aimed at getting to know different cultures and customs, the Summer Vibe Festival, International Bat Night, and many other activities.

Thanks to such projects, the Institution has partnerships with numerous associations, institutions, and cities across Europe. The aim of the project is to empower the local community and volunteers to independently undertake social actions and actions related to environmental and nature protection.

To date, the Institution has implemented 15 projects funded by the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ programs, with a total value of 409,600.00 euros. For the project 'Nature Protection 5 and 6,' the Institution has been granted 53,206.00 euros.
