In the Cave Park Grabovača, the implementation of the project Unknown Nature 2 funded by the European Solidarity Corps program, has begun. The one-month project brings together 13 volunteers from Italy, Georgia, Scotland and Spain. The volunteers coming to Perušić come from different backgrounds and fields, but they all share the same goal: to help and participate in the development of the local community and rural areas. Throughout the month, the volunteers will take part in numerous activities, ranging from educational programs and workshops organized for them by the Institution, to initiatives such as Foreign Language School and Nature and Society Week, which the volunteers, in cooperation with the Institution, will organize for children and young people from the local and wider community. With their creative ideas, the volunteers will also contribute to the event International Bat Night.
Thanks to projects like this, the Institution has partnerships with numerous associations, institutions, and cities across Europe, and as Ambassadors of inclusion and diversity, we encourage the participation of young people with fewer opportunities in all our activities for both the local and wider community. The goal of the project is to empower the local community and the volunteers to independently undertake social initiatives as well as actions related to environmental and nature protection.
